Players

The players screen is for storing information about your the people on your roster - your teammates.  You should build a list of all players for each season.  Do not delete a player (from a previous season, for example) just because he is not on the roster this season.  You will be able to choose which players from your Master List of players (maintained on the Players screen) you want to have on your roster later (you choose players for the current season on the SCHEDULE screen.

How to Add a New Player (that is not in the list)

  1. Open the Players screen.
  2. Click Add Player
  3. Fill in the boxes on the right side of the screen (only the Player's  Name is required)
  4. If you want to use the email feature, you must fill in the player's email address.
  5. Click Save
  6. Tennis Captain adds the Player and automatically sets up for adding another player.
  7. If you want to add another, just repeat steps 3 thru 5.  If you are done, click on the Cancel button.

How to print your Roster

  1. Open the Players screen.
  2. Click on PRINT FULL ROSTER if you want more detail on your report or click on PRINT ROSTER if you want a basic roster.
  3. A screen will pop up asking you for the Year and Season of the Roster you wish to print.   You choose a Year and Season OR click on 'Show All Players' to create a report showing all Players currently in Tennis Captain.

How to add more info to your player's listing

  1. Open the Players screen.
  2. Find the player you wish to add info to in the list on the left side.
  3. Click on the Player's name.
  4. In the boxes on the right, fill in any information you desire.
  5. Click Save

Other Features

  1. Click on SHOW ALL or SHOW MEN or SHOW WOMEN to "filter" the list by gender.
  2. Note that there is a Total Number of Players in the caption bar (the top part of the screen).  This number changes when you change the filter (i.e. from Male to Female to both).
  3. When adding new players, the gender defaults to MALE.  Be sure to set it to FEMALE if you are entering a female player.
  4. You can use the NOTES for any kind of information (Pager Numbers, Long PIN numbers, Cell Phones, etc.).
  5. Right-click on the grid for more options like sorting and dialing a player's phone number.
  6. You can delete a player, but only if he or she has never participated in any seasons.
  7. Click on the yellow ? for online help.
