Schedule

The schedule screen is for storing the team pairings for your upcoming season (i.e. who plays who, and when).  You will accomplish two very important tasks on this screen:

1. Make sure all of teams are selected properly (i.e. Team 1 from your packet is Team 1 on the screen) AND all of the pairings (team 1 @ team 8, etc.) are accurate.  It is imperative that the information on this screen is entered correctly.  You cannot go back later and change the team numbers (without wiping out any of the information you have already entered for that season.)

2. Select the Players that will be on your ROSTER for this season.

How to create your schedule

  1. Open the LineUp screen.
  2. Select the Year
  3. Select the Season - Important Note!  If you are doing a USTA season, you must select USTASummer or USTAWinter.  For ALTA, select Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall.  For Juniors, select one of the JUNIORS seasons.
  4. Click on Schedule
  5. Click on the little arrow on the right side of the box next to Team 1 under Teams in my Division
  6. Select the team that corresponds to the Team 1 listed on the schedule you received from ALTA or USTA.  If you have a BYE week, select the team called BYE from the list.
  7. Repeat step 6 for teams 2 through 8.
  8. For ALTA, click Initialize Pairings.  This is the most commonly used pairings for the ALTA organization.  Sometimes, however, they mix it up...just check the results carefully!
For USTA, click on the first box under Week 1 and start typing the pairings from your schedule.  Note that when you type the team number, the cursor automatically jumps to the next box.
  9. After all pairings have been entered, click on the last box under Week 1 and type in the month and day of the 1st match (e.g. for June 5 enter 06/05).  Click on the Fill In Dates button to fill in the dates for weeks 2 thru 8.   You can go back and manually change any of them (e.g. there is a holiday and one week is skipped).
  10. Click Save
  11. Click on Players for this Season.  Tennis Captain defaults to selecting all players.  To remove a player from the roster, click on a player's name and then click on the bottom arrow button.  Click on the top button to put someone back onto the roster.
  12. Click on Save.
