Teams

The teams screen is for storing information about your opponents.  The most important thing to accomplish on this screen is to make sure all of your opponents for the upcoming season are active (i.e. you see them in the list when All Years / All Seasons is checked and Active Teams is selected).

How to activate a team from the All Teams view.

  1. Open the Teams screen
  2. Click on All Teams
  3. Find your opponent in the list.
( TIP: Click on any team in the list.  Then type the first letter of the team you are looking for)
  4. Click on your opponent in the list.
  5. Click on Active
  6. Click Save
  7. Repeat steps 1 thru 6 for each team in your Division.

How to add more info to your opponents' listing

  1. Open the Teams screen.
  2. Find the opponent you wish to add info to in the list on the left side.
  3. Click on the Team name.
  4. In the boxes on the right, fill in any information you desire.
  5. Click Save

How to Add a team that is not in the list

  1. Open the Teams screen.
  2. Click Add Team
  3. Fill in the boxes on the right side of the screen (only the Team Name is required)
  4. Click Save

Other Features

  1. Uncheck All Years / All Seasons and you can filter by Year and Season so you can view a season's worth of active teams at once.
  2. Click on the yellow ? for online help.
  3. Right-click on the grid for more options like sorting and finding.
  4. You can delete a team, but only if the team has never participated in any seasons.

About your HOME TEAM!

An important fact about the Home Team (i.e. YOUR TEAM).  The Home Team is created when you install Tennis Captain.  You cannot de-activate it and you cannot "turn off" the Home Team checkbox.

Basically, do not activate your team from the All Teams view.  The team name you need to use in the Schedule screen is the one that was created for you when you started Tennis Captain for the first time.  You can tell which team listing this is by noting that the Home Team and Active check boxes are BOTH checked.
